After three days of wonderful roads and great scenery, the time has come to get back to reality. Brent split off this morning to return to College Station, leaving Jimmy and me as the only riders. Today's ride was smooth and uneventful on mostly four lane highways with little traffic.
To experience this kind of trip with my two boys and their buddies is definitely one of those "treasured memories." Hope y'all enjoyed the pictures and the comments as much as we did putting them together. DrewMonday, June 1, 2009
Cafe Racin'
Well finished up the trip today. Brent split off from us this morning to head back to College Station. Had a nice easy ride home. Once I got here all I could think about was heading back out for another day tomorrow... but its back to work. I took Adam to his house in my truck and passed a couple of bikes, I tried to do the "biker wave" that we all do at each other, but no wave back! haha I guess its not the same driving in a car. As we were coming into Burleson traffic my dad and I were talking on the microphones about how we missed the twists and turns of 337 and riding into Lukenbach on 1883! Well will have to do it again! Next time yall need to ride with us!
Oh and we will try to put up more pictures, plus we have video that we are going to put together!
Casualty List
For the final two days of the trip we got lost in New Braunfels and ate lunch in Gruene. Gruene was a very cool place with some of the original buildings still standing and an old mill turned restaurant that we ate at. Then it was off to Lukenbach. Lukenbach turned out to not really be a town but rather a few buildings that served as a rally point for bikers. It was fun to see, once, and there were a lot of nice bikes. Next we finished the day in Marble Falls. The trip home was pretty much a straight shot. I did get my picture taken in Adamsville, a town I did not know even existed.
Day Four Route - Marble Falls to Burleson

On this last day of the trip, the fellas are headed back to Burleson, Texas for a shorter ride of about 169 miles. They'll head through the town of Hico, and hopefully stop at the Koffee Kup Family Restaurant for a bite to eat. http://www.koffeekupfamilyrestaurant.com/

Cafe Racin'
Sorry for the late post, fell asleep and then woke back up and decided to post. Had another great ride today. Started the day getting gas in Bandera where I left my helmet on to go pay.... The microphone was still on so Brent decided to mess around talking in my ear as I was trying to pay, good times though. Made our way to Gruene where Chris told us about this great place to eat. Got ourselves a good hambuger and went to the famous Gruene Hall. My highlight of the day was leaving there when some people were asking about the bike and a small group watched as I left. If only they knew the guy under the helmet and jacket riding the bike was a poor college kid with just the bike to show for myself! haha. Anyway went to Lukenbach and meet a couple of German guys here seeing some friends in Fredericksburg. Had a nice talk and went on our way. It will be great to get home tomorrow, even though I wish I could ride for a few more days!
